CONTENT: In India, the giant Samvridh is forced to leave school to help his poor parents in the fields. In Congo, Dorothée and Jeremy are enlisted by soldiers whom they mistake for angels. Noï, who leaves his home to beg in the Laotian capital after the death of his father, is hounded by an evil genie. Asha, an Indian girl, is sent to work as a domestic worker in the home of ogres, whereas Eve-Line turns herself into an aqueduct to supply water to everyone in her village in the Dominican Republic. In Senegal, Jan metamorphoses into a donkey when soldiers chase him out of his village. Each evening, José looks up at the sky and dreams of becoming an airplane pilot. On the other hand, Nuray, a Kurdish girl, who had lost her voice, suddenly starts speaking again once she is back on the benches at school...

Though these metaphoric tales, inspired from real testimonies, the association Aide et Action puts the stress on 8 key articles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Each tale is illustrated by a playful and teaching page, which gives an explanation of the right mentioned in the story. Children can read these stories by themselves or with an adult.

The preface of the book is written by Diam’s, a French rap-singer famous among young people, who has committed herself to the association’s cause.
