Aide et Action Hong Kong

AEAI South East Asia Board is formed(13 Feb 2011)

The Constituent General Assembly of the AEAI-South East Asia Association was held recently on 13 February in Bangkok! After Africa and South Asia, and the amendment of the France Association's Statutes, South East Asia has therefore become the fourth member Association of Aide et Action International. The newest Association's 11 founding members come from China, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore. All are firmly committed to the cause of education in their region and the world, and wish to contribute their time, skills and commitment voluntarily to the service of the cause with Aide et Action.

The new Association and Aide et Action International as a whole will benefit from the diversity of their profiles and experiences: Ministry of Education, civil society organisations, universities, companies, journalism, etc. After the adoption of the Statutes that will govern the Association, the General Assembly elected a 6-member Board of Directors from among its members, along with its President, Mr. Winston Siu, from Hong Kong.

In the presence of Frédéric Naquet, President of Aide et Action International, the regional association's membership of Aide et Action International was formalised, enabling the new association to take part fully in the life of AEAI and its international forums.
